Did Deepika ditch Aditya Chopra for her debut in Hollywood

Soaring high and reveling in her success, our “Mastani” is not even stopping for a breather. When the stars are in your favour, who won’t wish to try new ventures? Deepika Padukone has given us a cue in the form of her picture with Vin Diesel that she will soon be stepping into Hollywood. Whoa! When “Kashibai” has established her name in Hollywood, how can “Mastani” lag behind - that too when she has Bajirao supporting her at every step. 

The nation is buzzing with the news of Deepika making her Hollywood debut in XXX: The Return Of Xander Cage. Though the news has not been officially confirmed by Deepika, the director of the action movie’s latest sequel, DJ Caruso has spilled the beans. He revealed on Twitter that the shooting of this movie will commence in Jan but Deepika will join the team in Feb. She will be sharing the screen space with Jet li and Tony Jaa. 

Deepika had posted her picture with Vin Diesel’s back towards the camera and XXX logo in the background. A smart move coming from a smart lady, she revealed a little and left the rest for us to speculate. If you know how to read between the lines, then you will understand what this tall beauty has been trying to reveal and hide at the same time. 

This isn’t the first time she has been offered a role in a Hollywood project. Earlier in 2015, there were rumours that she might be seen in the 7th sequel of Fast and Furious but the diva had to opt out as she preferred promoting her movie Ramleela over the Hollywood flick. We could not help but applaud her for her commitment that time but if rumours are to be believed, she has ditched Yash Raj for this upcoming Hollywood action thriller she plans to be a part of. 

If sources are to be believed, Aditya Chopra had offered her a movie opposite Hrithik Roshan after seeing her brilliant acting in Piku. This movie titled as Thug will be directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and is supposed to hit the theatres by the end of this year, though the shooting is yet to start. Deepika is said to have walked out of the movie as it didn’t quite interest her. 

Whether the leggy beauty didn’t find the role appealing or if it was her plan to opt for the Hollywood project instead, the actress is on a rejecting spree. She is also rumoured to have rejected Shudhhi besides giving a cold face to YRF offer. When asked, Deepika denied being approached for this YRF project. She said, “I was not offered the Yash Raj Films’ movie. I read reports that I even walked out of the film. I don’t understand that if I am not offered the film, how can I walk out of it.”

Well, when you are in demand, you tend to become choosy and have to take careful steps. We hope Deepika has already sketched her path and is on the right track. After all, she is one of those actresses who has a huge fan following; her fans wouldn’t want to be left disappointed.
